Campus: Lincoln Center (LC) - NYC

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Public Safety at Rose Hill, the Duty Supervisor leads all patrol activities to support the safety and security of the Fordham community at Rose Hill. This position is scheduled for a 12-hour tour.

Essential Functions:

Leads, trains and closely monitors the performance of personnel to ensure the highest quality of service.

Directs patrol and access control activities to mitigate risk.

Responds to calls for service and provides immediate medical attention as needed.

Directs Public Safety asset activity, including apprehensions, searches, recovered property and all actions taken by Public Safety personnel.

Patrols all campus buildings, guard posts and surrounding areas of the university on tour of duty.

Conducts inspections of assigned buildings, campus property, and vehicles; provides written reports to the Campus Director.

Conducts follow-up investigations and prepares detailed written reports, working closely with the Department Investigator.

Investigates derelictions of duty and takes appropriate action to prevent a future occurrence.

Directs traffic and crowd control at special events, commencement and emergency situations.

Operates University vehicles in compliance with federal, state and local regulations and insurance requirements

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

A minimum of 5 years experience in federal, state or local law enforcement

Possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Armed Guard license

Valid New York State driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience leading or supervising others

Minimum Salary: $75,676

Maximum Salary: $85,676
