Mountainland Technical College Machining Substitute Instructor in Lehi, Utah

Machining Technology Substitute Instructor / CNC / Teacher / Machinist

Location: Lehi

Hours: (Days) Monday – Friday. (Times) 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., 5:15 p.m. – 9 p.m. Shifts vary, as needed.

Pay / Hourly: $25.72

SUMMARY

As a Machining Technology Substitute Instructor, you will provide instruction to students on practices of CNC and manual machining when the regular instructor is absent. Your focus will be on helping students develop the skills they need to be job ready. Machining certificate or equivalent industry experience required. RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Take necessary precautions to ensure an effective and safe level of direct supervision of students in the labs and classrooms.

  • Effectively instruct students in manual and CNC machining

  • Ensure students achieve educational objectives and are evaluated appropriately according to knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Assess student progress toward meeting graduation requirements.

  • Model and teach good work habits and professional conduct.

  • Assist students in the use, care, and safety of program equipment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Machining Technology certificate or equivalent experience

  • Skilled in Mastercam

  • Minimum of 5 years related in professional experience preferred.
