We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Middle River, Maryland. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, providing product information, maintaining customer records, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a dynamic call center environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls professionally and with a positive attitude

• Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and offer solutions to ensure customer satisfaction

• Utilize multiple computer systems and applications to efficiently navigate and gather necessary information

• Maintain a customer-focused approach and demonstrate empathy while addressing customer concerns

• Accurately document customer interactions and update customer accounts in the system

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve complex customer issues

• Meet performance metrics and quality standards set by the company

• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and company policies

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements • Prior experience in the energy or natural resources industry is preferred

• Proven track record as a Customer Service Representative or similar role

• Experience in a call center environment

• Proficiency in using call center software and technology

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle difficult or irate customers effectively

• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed customer service targets

• Flexibility to work in shifts or irregular hours if required

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a related field is advantageous.
