POSITION PURPOSE:
As part of the Commercial Excellence Team within BMS Germany's Strategy & Operations organization the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects (m/f/d) plays a vital role in leading priority projects for BMS Germany. Further, this role owns strategic project & initiative portfolio management and steering and is the core point of contact for project management excellence and its continuous evolution.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage strategic projects
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects
Drive strategic alignment of projects' scope and objectives with business goals
Communication and focused reporting
Risk Management and quality assurance for project deliverables
Resource management
Project and initiative portfolio management & steering
Create and maintain transparency on BMS Germany's portfolio of strategic projects & initiatives
Enable project & initiative portfolio prioritization
Co-create and -maintain Commercial Excellence capability roadmap for BMS Germany
Central hub for project management excellence and continuous evolution
Manage central project management excellence hub and resources
Systematically enhance project management capabilities and ways of working within the organization, e.g. via sharing best practices, tools & templates
Serve as sparring partner for teams on project management excellence standards
Qualifications:
Master degree in Business Administration or similar
At least 5 years of experience related to advanced project management and project portfolio management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or broader Health Care environment
Experience in effective stakeholder engagement incl. senior management on local and global level
Experience in a strategic consulting company would be a plus
Experience with Agile/Scrum techniques and OKRs would be a plus
Personal skills:
Ability to professionally manage complex, ambiguous topics and projects in a dynamic environment
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills across the organization including local and global senior stakeholders
Team player attitude to effectively cooperate in broad cross functional team
Advanced strategic, analytical and logical thinking
Strong will to learn and develop
Proficiency in advanced project management tools (e.g. MS projects, JIRA, Asana) and MS Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Office)
Strong communication and presentation skills both in German and English
