TITLE: Senior Technical Support SpecialistLOCATION: 2 Gateway Center, Newark, NJ 07102DUTIES: Conduct an in-depth analysis of Service Requests raised by internal / external clients to determine the appropriate course of action and troubleshoot real time production issues to ensure a smooth running of the impact application within the prescribed productivity time frame. Assist Help Desk in meeting the client needs by providing review of information relating to impact processing. Document new/changed operational procedures associated with development/maintenance projects. Responsible for supporting the testing of enhancements and fixes, and assist functional testing groups who ensure that the programs are functioning correctly and the enhancements function in accordance with the enhancement specifications. Recommend solutions and identify required program corrections that resolve issues that clients have in conducting their day-to-day business. Ensure that the static data/configuration/set up's are accurate in all client regions to minimize functional service requests and Develops and document workarounds for functional issues that client have in test / production environments. Diagnose and remediate (where authorized) all production and test service requests assigned to the group. Attend the internal and external project status meetings to represent all impact™ issues and provide current status on all unresolved remedies to management and the clients (upon request). Contribute towards enterprise-wide metrics collection and participate in action plans. Identify root causes and prepare root cause documentation of complex issues. Handle advanced technical issues and mentor junior staff to develop and implement support strategies. Identify trends and implement long-term solutions to optimize platform performance and contribute to system enhancements. Attend the morning calls to review the outstanding remedies. Position is based out of company’s Newark, NJ office. Role holder is eligible for hybrid work with manager approval and must reside within commuting distance of the work location.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field plus one (1) year of experience in the field. Must have 1 year of experience working with Unix and Sybase. Experience also required working with Java, Python, SQL; providing test/production support; debugging code and solving issues and providing timely resolutions; and with background in fixed income/finance industry/finance tech industry. Position is based out of company’s Newark, NJ office.
