Position Summary

Our team is looking for a Sr. Project Manager in support of our ongoing On-call Contract with Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) and our national aviation practice. We hold multiple on-call contracts with GOAA for projects at MCO and Orlando Executive Airport. This position will lead our airfield civil OAR team. This position requires the individual to be based at MCO airport with the program management team.

Position Responsibilities

· Manages and provides direction to the airfield OAR team.

· Plan, develop, control and forecast the project's budget and ensure cost control and risk mitigation for completion within budget. Track, evaluate and prepare detailed project progress reports, including Estimated at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) reports to the client’s management team.

· Reviews and evaluates design items as they relate to civil/airfield design.

· Evaluates design elements as related to programmatic determinations.  

· Provides input on project delivery methods & contract packaging.

· Facilitates resolution of technical issues.

· Identifies processes and resources for project implementation.

· Provides civil design support as required by the team.  

· Plan and Coordinate quality control activities from initial development through construction and close out phases with all project stakeholders.

· Participates in design review process. 

· Verifies projects comply with program and code requirements. 

· Review of design milestone submittals.  

· Ensures quality is adhered to throughout. 

· Reports project status directly to GOAA management

· Responsible for the project operations, and assists with project’s estimating, budgeting, planning, scheduling, time management, project reporting, site safety, manpower management

· Assures contractual compliance

· Provides miscellaneous technical support as required by the Program. 

· Other duties, as assigned.

Position Requirements

· 15+ years of experience

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field, or commensurate level of experience

· PE, PMP certifications preferred

· Background in civil/airfield work.

· In-depth understanding of project management procedures and project management principles

· Ability to perform under pressure with frequent interruptions and under deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Knowledge of quality control and health & safety standards

· Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

· Knowledge of computer hardware and software programs, which may include Microsoft Office, P6 or Microsoft Project, estimating, and Internet applications
