Saginaw Township Community Schools School Campus Security in Saginaw, Michigan
Position Summary:
- Monitor student activity in all areas of campus, both inside and outside.
- Assist in supervision of bus loading/unloading.
- Assist in traffic control during student arrival/dismissal.
- Refer discipline, security, and attendance situations to appropriate personnel.
- Provide escort services for visitors, student, staff and others as necessary.
- Occassional after-school event assignments as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the principal.
Regular and consistent in-person attendance required.
*Qualification: *
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Previous experience with school age students, preferred
- Supervisory experience working with at-risk youth, highly desirable.
- Physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

- Open campus with multiple buildings
- Exposure to seasonal conditions

- Maintain emotional control under stress

- Prolonged standing and walking
- Occasional sitting, stooping, bending and kneeling

Hours/Pay:
- 8 hours per day (7.5 paid work hours + 30 minutes unpaid lunch break)
- Every day school is in session. (180 workdays August - June)
- Wages pursuant to collective bargaining agreement with SEIU Local 517M
Current hourly rates are $13.00 - $14.21 per hour based on experience
The parties' collective bargaining agreement is through June 30, 2024.
