Google Group Product Manager, Cloud Compute, Observability and Intelligence in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • Experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.

  • Experience delivering services at-scale as a Product Manager, Program Manager, or similar.

  • Experience in conceiving, designing, and delivering user experiences in cooperation with researchers, designers, front-end engineering, and data teams.

  • Experience with cloud cost optimization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).

  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.

  • 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.

  • Knowledge of, or continued interest in, building accessibility best practices, and experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work closely with large-scale users of Compute Engine to understand their needs in current cloud usage and trends.

  • Map compute resources to their teams, projects, workloads, and goals to aid troubleshooting.

  • Design experiences that enable customers to plan, design, monitor, and troubleshoot their environment.

  • Advocate for intelligent experiences that help customers achieve their goals; experiences that are natural, simple, and supported by data to substantiate recommendations made.

  • Consult across other core IaaS services to provide a joined-by experience.
