In support of the OTSP CC130J program, CAE is looking for instructor pilot candidates to support the Canadian Forces’ (CF) instructors in delivering the CC130J training curriculum. This includes responding to 426 Squadron instructional management staff and providing student training to meet CF needs; ensuring alignment with needs of Squadron chief instructor for all matters related to standards of instruction, teaching methodologies, and handling of and reporting on CF CC130J students. As practical, interact closely with Squadron instructional staff to coordinate instructional tasks, review and apply lessons derived from training that has been conducted, and collaborate on assessing student performance

Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to work autonomously to tackle a broad scope of customer requirements

  • Ability to effectively deliver oral presentations to management and customers

  • Ability to work independently and direct subordinates

  • Ability to deliver synthetic environment training using flight simulators and other tools

  • Ability to contribute to development of teaching aids and courseware

  • Ensure that training delivered is consistent with training objectives and teaching points in the training plan, per applicable training standards

  • Reporting student progress, issues and deficiencies relative to the course delivery

  • Ability to work overtime when needed

    Mandatory qualifications include:

  • Be a qualified CC130J pilot instructor which includes experience instructing on aircraft simulators. Proof may be provided through a copy of the instructor’s training file

  • A minimum of 600 hours flying experience as a pilot in a CC130J Aircraft. Proof of hours in CF1281 Logbook is an asset

  • A minimum of six (6) months hands-on experience operating microcomputers with Windows 7 (or newer version) and the Microsoft Office Suite of software, primarily Outlook, MS Word and Power Point

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills

  • Formal training in Instructional Techniques

  • Familiar with quality standards, training plans, and training media used to ensure teaching points are met per Training Standards

  • MANDATORY: Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit

  • MANDATORY: Capable of obtaining and maintaining both Controlled Goods Clearance and a Government of Canada security clearance is required

  • MANDATORY: Physically able to work in confined spaces
