Job Title: BIM Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

The BIM Manager position will help support the corporation's ongoing design and engineering activities in BIM models management, design standardization, engineering drawing production, and enterprise data generation. The BIM Manager will report to the Director of Engineering Systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support and training for BIM software

• Assist in developing support and training documents for BIM software and processes

• Develop and maintain BIM template files and families to company standards

• Stay informed of best practices for use of BIM and Revit.

• Provide quality control for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company drawing standards

• Support BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement.

• Maintain high level of competency of BIM software through continued use and training

• Assist on project work as needed

• Occasional to regular travel may be required to various CHB manufacturing facilities in pursuit of these objectives

• Understand, appreciate, and enjoy manufactured housing and residential construction along with the significance our products bring to the customer

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Will lead various support personnel in the design package preparation activities but will not have direct supervisory authority

• Technical Skills - ability to gain working knowledge of building codes referenced in company products

• Comfortable reading prints and interpreting home construction engineering instructions. Comfortable with technical problem solving and analysis.

Education and/or Experience

• 5+ years production experience in design, drafting or engineering,

• In-depth working knowledge of Revit software with emphasis on templates, family creation, project sheet setup.

• Associate/Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Engineering a plus.

• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals

• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance

• Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
