Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Military Attaché Spouse Training Program Instructor to join our team! In this role you will get to i nstruct in the Spouse Training Program for the spouses of future Military Attachés and Attaché Staff at the Joint Military Attaché Schoolhouse.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, publish, and present instructional lessons that cover a variety of topics for JMAS students.

  • Coordinate guest lecturers.

  • Ensure materials and presentations meet JMAS standards.

  • Serve as a small group leader and mentor of students.

  • Serve as a Course Director, when designated, to administer, evaluate, synchronize, and manage blocks of instruction in the STP curriculum in accordance with established JMAS and STP procedures.

  • Serve as a Point of Contact for JMAS Off Site exercises, when designated.

  • Responsible for direct coordination with outside agencies, synchronizing schedules, maintaining a current list of all contact information for all Points of Contact and agencies supporting the exercise, facilitate and assist other JMAS Programs with all team exercise duties.

  • Review and adjust all educational resource materials (letters, documents, newsletters, augmenting learning resources etc.) before each class iteration.

  • Serve as liaison with State Department and other IC Agencies on family issues.

  • Assist and facilitating registration, attendance, and security paperwork/procedures unique to the STP student.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Graduate of the JMAS Spouse Training Program.

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher.

  • Have at minimum one completed and successful tour of duty as the spouse of an attaché, attaché staff support, or Assistant Defense Attaché in the Defense Attaché Service.

  • Have at least 5 years of relevant experience, one of which completed an attaché/attaché spouse tour.

  • Be able to instruct with authority over a select range of Defense Attaché Service topics.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Instructional experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range:

$40.05 - $70.10
