Our work depends on a SI&T Combat System Interface Baseline Lead joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC areas.

As a SI&T Combat System Interface Baseline Lead supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for the Combat System Installation Engineering knowledge for 1st and 2nd digit baselines. Specific responsibilities include:

• Understand Naval Sea Systems Command and Military standards/specifications for cables and connectors

• Translate system requirements into interface cabling designs

• Interpret and validate Interface Control Drawings (ICDs) for cabinets and equipment in the Aegis Combat System

• Verify interface requirements and types

• Review GFI to identify interface requirements and coordinate with stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• A degree in Engineering or related discipline/experience is required.

• A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.

• Over Ten (10+) years of experience as a Combat System Maintenance Manager (CSMM) [or equivalent] on platforms with the Aegis Combat System

• Over two (2+) years direct experience in the engineering, installation and/or operation of the Aegis Combat System onboard US Navy ships or Aegis Ashore.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector

• A demonstrated ability to work across the Navy/Marine Corps major stakeholder organizations and in particular an understanding of the relationships between NAVSEA, PEO IWS and the Fleet Commands is required to perform this role.

The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $204,360. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
