ASRC Federal Holding Company Vulnerability and Patch Management Engineer(Mid) in Washington, District Of Columbia

ASRC FEDERAL Broadleaf Division is seeking a Vulnerability and Patch Management Engineer for our contract located at the Pentagon.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

  • The candidate shall have an in-depth knowledge of multi-platform engineering; planning, coordinating, and executing patch management operations, creating baselines and configuring hardened systems. Candidate will have strong experience with centrally managed Linux and Window systems patched through automated processes or in some cases manually if required to bring the systems in to compliance. Works closely with and clearly articulate to the customer and technical team leads the scope of solutions and remediation plans. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with most aspects of operating system administration; for example, system installation and configuration, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software. Has an understanding of end-user operating systems, server operating systems, virtualization, and middleware. Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understand basic routing concepts. Ability to write scripts in some administrative language (TK, Perl, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.). Knowledge of cybersecurity control implementation, IT infrastructure management, resource monitoring and alerting. Knowledgeable with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Enterprise Backup solutions and fault tolerant technologies.

JOB DUTIES :

  • Responsible for supporting the personnel, applications, and appliances employed to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, toinclude but not limited to extensive engineering of Windows and Linux Operating Systems. Installing, configuring, and tuning Operating Systems, Third Party Applications, and Operating System Security Patches. Troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and databases. Working with systems hosted in a complex, multi-layered network. Cybersecurity control implementation, IT infrastructure management, resource monitoring and alerting. Working with Storage Area Networks (SAN), Enterprise Backup solutions and fault tolerant technologies.

Requirements :

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

EXPERIENCE :

  • At least five (5) years of experience in the field of cybersecurity, systems engineering, vulnerability management, and integration; or 8 years of similar experience.

CLEARANCE LEVEL :

  • Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology field

  • In Lieu of degree: four (4) year equivalent training in information technology security

CERTIFICATION(S) :

  • Required to be time of contract initiation / on-boarding:

  • IAT Level III

  • IAW DoDD 8140.01 (Cyberspace Workforce Management)
